    Writing Strengths and Weaknesses

I'd say my strength is character writing and long form story telling. Getting into a character's head space and building there arcs along. Weakness I'd say are grammar, spelling, having to define the appeal of my story in a short blurb. Being too in-depth with planning and character...

Looking for feedback on my Current

(Realised I was on the wrong section to ask for prologue feedback so this is edited.) Any comments you have on it will be much appreciated. Chapter 30: Boy to Man

    What's Your Special Story?

It's been years since I've started this writers journey and the inspirations that got me started although still prominent (One piece, Final Fantasy 13, verses 13 and Kingdom hearts) I'd say the special story for me has got to be The Wheel of Time. It just covers so much on the interpersonal...

    AI Pictures of Your Characters

I'd still use commission in the end but getting a reference for each of my characters using AI has been really cool. (This is my main cast BTW XD)

    F%@~ing Tournament arcs!

It really depends on what it's being broken up with and if that new thing feels different from what came before. Ideally, I'd say you want to both give a feel progression of the plot and a shake up to how to take the next step from then on. Like if the first round of a tournament is a free for...

Ever feel you don't have enough time to write?

Too relatable lol All I can say that to gain new habits you have to try new things. It's always hard at first but we humans are quite adaptable to new stimuli. So if you really want it then just start of small and work your way up.

    F%@~ing Tournament arcs!

This is a really good point. Me personally I'd say I can only take so much of it in a show before I bow out for those same reasons which is why for me at least it comes down the length. When doing research on this for my book I took all the aspects I did not like about the trope and tried to...

    F%@~ing Tournament arcs!

I wish I could say I did to to rebel against short attention spans or to tick people off but I honestly just pasted this here after writing this for another project. In any case, thanks for the replay

    Plz help new author out

This is defiantly but I would also look into Prowritingaid as well. You mileage may very depending on you but I often find that Prowritingaid is just that bit more helpful. Beyond that that is all sage advice I'm seeing here. Not been on forums in years but this seems really active so I'd say...

Ever feel you don't have enough time to write?

Find pockets of time and break down the work load to a paragraph to even a line a day. Over time you will build discipline and momentum. if you just do that. Even opening up the story to write in a sentence a day I promise you that you will have made a lot of progress. Also around yourself...

    F%@~ing Tournament arcs!

You make valid points. Though I have examples it would have made the writing longer. I agree that there are no hard and fast rules and I keep things open in my take on how I see the subject so beyond being more direct that this is not iron clad rules I guess I'll just keep this in mind. As for...

    F%@~ing Tournament arcs!

Again I understand the issue with length so it's cool. I can't say I'm known for posting anything at all if I'm honest. You say this was an essay and you'd be partly right. I was a script for when I was working on YouTube videos. After dusting it off I though it might help someone who is...

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. I've not used forums in ages so I kind of forgot what's an acceptable length.

This was something I wrote up a few years ago and I thought you guys might find it useful XD (Also if you want to ask questions, hang out or meet others who are on the writing journey then let me know and I'll add you to my discord where we do weekly podcasts.) Tournament arcs Definition A...
