    Prologues?

I do read them. But I don’t write them. I had given some thought about turning my first chapter into a prologue, but so many people skip them. My story would make a lot less sense if that info was skipped over, so I kept it as chapter one.

    What have you wrote today?

I’m halfway into book 3 or my 4 book series. I worked all day and came home and wrote 1,000 words. So that’s good for me. Especially since I had to do some research first…how would a newly formed government of goblins go about collecting taxes? It’s not a big plot in the story, but I try for...

How often do you go autopilot while writing?

Almost never. I’m constantly weighing words for meaning and sentence structure for cadence. My mind is always focused on the paragraph before me. It would be easier if I could go autopilot!

Me while researching things for book 3. I’ve had to look up medieval class systems, political doings, and how to refit armor. Among other things ?

Anyone working on any story anthologies?

I am! I have a main 4 book arc planned for my fantasy series. But then I have an anthology of short stories about the different characters set in the same fantasy world. I work on it when I need a break from the main series.

What's the best and worst feedback you've ever received as an author?

The best feedback I had came from a review on another platform, I had a reader say my book gave her Arthurian legend vibes through a Tolkien lens. I was like ??? I haven’t had much bad feedback. Most of what I’ve had has been a reader mismatch: “this is boring”, “I’d like more romance,” etc...

    Sports, I Love Reality

I’m the opposite, I like sports, but not the stories. ? I have seen they have a pretty big following on other platforms I’m on though.

    Should I quit writing?

You should just start posting this image on posts you want to like lol. Bypass the system! Unless they limit how many images you can post. ?

How many days off does it take to completely wreck my sleep schedule? Apparently it’s 3. Somehow, I’ve gotten back to being awake all night. That’s really gonna be a problem when I go back to work at 8am tomorrow.

Not as bad as I thought?

I don’t write the usual LitTPG or usual tropes. An online friend told me that it wouldn’t be a good match on there for that reason. Though they also had a lot of vocal, unhelpful comments on their stuff. ?

Not as bad as I thought?

I was going to post my slow burn fantasy novel on there, but where I had it on two other platforms, it kept getting denied. I was worried about posting it though, as it’s not the usual thing on there. So I decided to try on here instead and have been pleasantly surprised. After hearing some of...

How much does launch matter? And does irregular posting hurt discoverability

What format is the story? A serialized web novel, or a completed fiction novel? It seems for web novels, the key is to be visible, which means uploading chapters regularly and often. That’s the opposite of me lol. I wrote a regular novel, it’s 26 chapters long. So I can’t do the mass upload and...

Nothing like having inspiration hit after midnight. I began writing down ideas for book 4 of my series and now it’s 3am. At least I have half the book plotted out, I guess?

Writing How do you choose/find titles for your chapter?

Sometimes they come from parts of quotes in the chapter. Or I try to think thematically. Like ‘Embers Beneath Ash,’ ‘Carrying the Fire,’ etc. It depends on what the chapter conveys.

    Story sharing.

I’m hoping my third book doesn’t end up in the fiction graveyard. I’m 40,000 words in, and it’s taken on a life of its own. I am wildly off track from my original plot outline. So I’m navigating 3 separate plot points that all circle around the main plot. I just hope I’m up to it cause right now...

How did you start writing fiction in your early journey as a new author?

That was me with my Goblins. I wanted to tell a story that was largely told from their viewpoint. I wanted them to be actual people, not caricatures or monsters. But a misunderstood race who had a long history and deep culture.
