I think for male authors it's eaiser to write a female with the mind of a male then a female from the beginning. Maybe they are more comfortable that way and it does get more views than just yuri stories.
I think learning about work count per chapter was an overall negative in my writing. Write until the goal of the chapter is reached. Don't worry about word count.

That you can. But the last time I did that, Scribblehub marked it as spam and didn't update my story on the front page and I lost potential viewers. So, I play it safe from now on. But that's just my experience.
