What is your favorite story or stories of all time?

The fact that I till today for five and a half year regularly check if there's any development to Core .001 by INV should be telling enough. It was the first story I ever genuinely read on this site with such interest. The author last said they're still working on it, so I'll keep waiting...

Does make the need for predation to live make a creature evil?

I'd say it depends. If the creature is intelligent, as in not just following their instincts to fill their needs, the important factor is whether or not they have to kill. Vampires for example can surely meet arrangements that don't require to fully drain their victim. If the being actually has...

    DND Podcasts or Shows?

The legend of Vox Machina on Amazon Prime? It's an animation series based on that rather famous DnD group.

    Funniest Typos You Missed?

One of my MCs, a crazy, somewhat sociopathic slime is named "Liqu" yet I rather often accidentally due to proximity write "Loqu" instead, which kinda fits as well.

    Patreon

I'd really love to be able to take that hurdle one day. I'm still all angsty, ever since I just tried to introduce myself to Patreon.

Recommendations Monster Girl Stories (Catgirls, goblins, Kobolds, dragons, arachnids, harpies etc.)

My story is literally called "Slime Girl". In general, I focus on stories that transform girls into different creatures, without directly having them take on the respective mindset. Formicea (hive spawning princess) Arachne (an arachnophobic spider girl) Eldritch (my little Eldritch goddess)...

What is your favourite fantasy race/creature?

Huh, my first guess would be slimes that can take on humanoid forms, as they can have so versatile interactions. But I'd also like a water elemental with those traits. Then maybe some eldritch shapeshifter, but those tend to be stuck in thir ways and aren't offering meaningful interactions...

Why stories about foxes are so popular?

I guess it's the more mythical aura. Cat girls are more feral, while foxes have this shrine feeling to them. In this line of thought, what about bunnies?

Recommendations Loking novel like Harry Potter(GL)

It's not GL, but I could recommend "A Practical Guide to Sorcery", which has many elements of Harry Potter and sports a female protagonist. It's in my opinion even far better than HP.

Recommendations Give me more kingdom building

It's not quite kingdom-building, but in my story "Formicea", I'm pretty descriptive about the social structure and bases of a species of giant insects in a medieval world. The reviews are overall rather decent.

    Daily Word Count Thread

Probably 5000 a week. Three chapters a week with a lower limit of 1500. Though its only a hobby. At least I!m consistent without breaks since three years.

When did you notice the success of your novel?

I guess I went lucky. I went into publishing without any expectations and suddenly was on trending two days later and stayed there for weeks. This led to a solid reader base I'm still benefiting from. When I got some hundred readers in the first weeks, that was enough to call it a thorough...

    Synopsis Don'ts

Oh, I got something! If the supposed MC from Earth has an utterly ridiculous name. "This is Athena, who was a normal office girl." "Solomon, an average Joe with a normal life." Something has to be wrong if the authors already at the naming phase have to be cringy. Also, if I read a man's...

Looking for novels with FMC fantasy stories more geared towards action

Did you know that A Practical Guide to Evil is currently released on Webtoon? I always recommend A Practical Guide to Sorcery. Really like that one. Also, obviously, my own. If you're fine with the MC turning into a "Slime Girl" (roll credits).

I'm looking for zombie progression female MC

Necroephilogos I got started. It's partly neat, but not quite the setting I'm looking for. Feels a bit too detached from settings I can relate to in general. Novelupdates would probably be fine, but no genderbender please. Those are in this kind of setting completely pointless and only...

I'm looking for zombie progression female MC

Hi, like the title says, I'd like to know if someone can recommend me some good zombie progression stories here or on Royal Road. To be precise, stories with a modern world zombie apocalypse where the MC has some way to get stronger aside from their whits and gear. It doesn't necessarily have to...

    Your favourite undying MC archetype?

I like the undefined body archetype. Slimes, or water elementals. Maybe even an eldritch horror shapeshifter. They can functionally always reassemble, no matter how they are obliterated. Though, from those three I personally am closest inclined to water elementals, or in my turn on them, water...

Writing The mentality of a non-human finding out that they're not human....

I find it a bit hard to believe that the laboratory wouldn't even have a locked door, but is solely built on trust to the monitored. Also, if he was inhuman the whole time you need an explanation why he wouldn't have noticed anything off until now. Also, why everyone is acting so weirdly, but...

    Please Destroy My Novel's Cover

Hope that doesn't come off as too harsh. I'm just trying to cater to the request: It looks very much like for a seventies movie. This can be a bit repelling, as it gives the impression of an old-fashioned story, which doesn't cater to modern tastes. Especially, as Hollywood doesn't have all...

My story got stolen by an aggregator audiobook site

Oh good. I just realized I'm safe! I was told that my style of writing, where I write the dialogues like this: "Did you think this through? (S) "Yep, eating this guy is the best course of action!" (L) Leads to plenty issues for trying to use audio on it. Good to know.
