I would have no reason to ever revert to original form. So no reason to try and escape. Might put in the work to train up my magic to deal with any monsters and whatnot that try to bother me, but otherwise, all benefits.

I have read some sci fi related dungeon core material. Sometimes its just like, VR games with dungeon cores in the setting, which still would be a fantasy setting, so less interesting/what I mean. Otherwise I think usually the "Cores" in question are more science based, rather than magical...

Reincarnation as a magical entity in a sci fi world would be interesting, I think. As for most interesting, I am always a huge fan of Dungeon Cores. Though those can certainly work without reincarnation, as well.

Unsurprisingly, Tensura does it best. But usually, when it works well, just think lizard man with a little extra dragon. Hopefully a breath weapon, and maybe even the ability to do partial transformations, like buffing up scales or claws temporarily.

You could write a post apocalypse where humans are already extinct and it focuses on some other emerging sapience trying to build a civilization of their own from the remnants of humanity.
