How much do you like smut?

Trying to come up with ideas for the scribble hub writing contest, thinking to have it include a little smut :s_wink: One idea I had is this. A young woman, Journey Chase, is an aspiring mercenary with dreams of joining the colonial resistance on a distant colony world. In order to get there...

    Ever heard of Popink?

Yeah I'm backing away from it. It sucks I can't take the book down, but what I posted was already on scribblehub.

    Ever heard of Popink?

I just realized I cannot edit a novel after created it on their platform. I need an editor's approval to edit my own work? Might not be such a good platform.

How much do you like smut?

so my prides submission series is an alternate future (kinda grim dark). Where in order to get any job, of any relevance, one must go to the grand university. The catch is, to go there you have to get sponsored by a fraternity or sorority, and remain in good standing. The sororities are all...

How much do you like smut?

My book Son Of Thrace has that, there's body manipulation towards the end. I'm thinking of doing something similar to a new character, but haven't decided.

How much do you like smut?

One thing I've also noticed is a peak rise in girls-love smut. I'm into that too lol, but is there any room left for straight romance? or hardcore shaft in the naughty bits action?

How much do you like smut?

Serious question lol. I've written lots of smut, although I always try to include an actual story with character development, and play with other themes during such endeavors. Recently I've taken the time to write more clean romance, and adventure stuff as well. One thing I've noticed, my smut...

    Is my chapter too long?

If you can break it up, it would give you the opportunity to having multiple releases that week. The more releases you can have, the more readers you're likely to pick up.

Create a character you don't understand?

I'm a fan of Warhammer 40k. The most important character in the entire background, that has relevance in every story published, is the emperor himself. Every writer of that franchise has said they truly don't know where to begin when writing about him, the character is so beyond them they don't...

    A character card for writing

I like it. I use Scrivener when I write, and it comes with a character sheet that's not as good. Might want to add age as well, half the time I forget how old my main character, and secondary characters, are and have to go back and find it lol.

    Advice/Tips on re-writing stories

I heard once that, all artists never actually finish their work, they merely eventually give up and move on. I think this is true for writers as well, I could constantly write and re-write some of my stuff for an eternity. Eventually I just have to say 'ok done, move on'. If you have an idea...

    Book to Game commissions

its possible, but writing video games is very different than writing books. It's a different way of thinking, and I'm not sure I would like it.

Is this just me but I’ll find it incredibly hard to find interesting books to read?

it's really good, although just a fair warning there is non-consensual sex in it but the main character ends up getting some sweet revenge afterward.
