One Universe with Multi-Series, Which Meets in the Main Conflict of the Main Series?

Oooh this has been one of my forte when it comes to one type of storytelling. I'd generally call it a "saga", as in you're writing your own interconnected plot throughout multiple series covering the entire history and events of the world you forge on the go. And to answer your question: I...

Do You read a chapter a day, or do you like a 'page turner' and prefer a completed story?

if the story is good, and I have time to read the entire thing until the last updated chapter, I'll read it whole and wait (though there's no guarantee I'll stick around, since I have a life that I need to deal with every single day)

    Litrpg Skill System?

Or Option C: instill a hard limit and resort in skill evolution & combination instead of swapping this and that. Some people are so fixated on numbers (both damage measurement, basic & advanced stats as well as ability arsenal) that they can't be creative at their fullest. You'd have to think...

What makes you love your fiction?

It's the fact that I tore every common trope apart and reconstruct it in my own way. That's where it makes me love my fiction.

The laziest thing you do as an author?

the laziest thing to do as an author is to not write and instead playing games where I should've finished one arc of one of my projects

How do you control an overpowered character so they don't break the story?

Good luck on the story's delivery. If you're intended to make it close to how One Punch Man treated the OPness of Saitama, make it so that he/she/they kept struggling to find a worthy enemy without having to one shot kill everyone they encountered. Don't fall for easy cheat system type of nonsense.

    Writing From NPC to MC?

This is closer to how Cid plays himself in KageJitsu, though there are works that made this particular protagonist stays out of the other world's protagonist (i.e Leon Fou Bartfort from Trapped in a Dating Sim initially do maintain his status as a mob, though one can argue that his status as a...

    Writing From NPC to MC?

Never written one, but I've seen the trend a couple years ago where the protagonist is supposed to be a "mob" in, say, a game world or a novel world, basically any typical isekai where our unlucky Japanese guy/girl got reincarnated as a nobody/background character/extra (in Korean WNs) And as...

    Simple Elemental Magic

The first four is the true elemental in the most fundamental way. The rest are... not really elemental (except Lightning)

How do you distinguish between a friend and an acquaintance?

it's the way you frame them honestly. Two people going back and forth with, say, work and having little personal conversations would consider themselves acquaintances to each other. Beyond that, they can be considered friends, especially if they're like hanging out outside of usual activities (I...

    College writers and studies.

already graduated from college, but back in the first semester, I used to write a lot of fanfictions back in the day, though the frequency of me writing starts to dwindle due to studies and most of all, gaming, until tragedy hits and it became hard to stay consistent.

Anime Storytelling Discussion & Advisor Thread!

my advice on anything Japanese-sounding (or anime sounding) stuff in your writing: finetune it so it doesn't sound cringe. Some authors have definitely gone past that weeb-ish phase that when somebody else just write it out while given little context, I'm sure some people would either bang their...

What's your reason for not writing LitRPG fiction?

To finally get into the point of this question, it's tiring and not everyone is nerdy enough to keep up with the numbers. And more often than not, those same numbers are one of the primary source of why LitRPGs (and to some extent power fantasy) has gotten so bad, if I ask this forum what they...

What motivated you to stop being a reader and write your own fiction?

burned out from fanfiction as well as feeling that it's time for me to do something new, so I did by making myself original stories. I think I've done it once 14 years ago as a freshman in high school, but it's pretty short, though at least it's original, written in my country's lingua franca

    I'm tired of OP heros

Me too buddy... me too... OP characters are fine, but if you just throw it wholesale like a candy, then the OPness lost all the charms.

Why I don't write a lot and consistently

rival authors would hunt you down if you got popular. On a serious note, I don't think you'd get anything like paparazzi or public stabbing just because your work turns out to suck in the end. Most of the time, you'd get mocked online by some nobody who lives under their mother's basement
