Writing How do you all write so much???

Writing is exhausting after 8hours work a day but.... I love writing :blob_hug: For me, not writing is more uncomfortable than writing, so I write.

The weirdest thing you had to google

As writers, we all have weird stuff we have to research and hope that no one ever finds in our search history. I, for example, because I sound a damn suspicious lot like a serial killer. Awesome things I've googled before: -The symptoms a corpse has after dying from opium overdose -Tasteless...

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

Aaaaaaall the insecurities. I'm surprised I manage to convince myself to update regularly.

How do you write a romance after the confession?

"Weird" is a very broad word. Some couples would change greatly after getting together (for example if they were very restrained before), some won't (if they were very close from the start) Rather than avoiding anything, I think you should check your couple and think about how they would behave...

Quick Question: If it's generally agreed if I can like something without engaging with it, can I also dislike something without engaging with it too?

Absolutely. I like watching letsplays, and a lot of those have resulted in me deciding to play games on my own because I liked the playthrough so much, or disliking it because I noticed I hated some mechanics, or characters, or the story. If I don't like the story while watching, why would I...

    Finish Writing Dropped Story?

A late, finished story is always better than a dropped story. People might reread when they see it's continuing/done, and it's nice to read the conclusion to something you couldn't finish reading before~

    Details

Well Horror isn't the same as Horror, right? :blob_sir: If you write something gory that's supposed to freak people out using disgust, then a lot of details make sense, if you want a sense of fear that gives you chills then I agree with LostLibrarian, since that's usually creepier than knowing...

Writing Should I Westernized the names of my characters?

I choose my names as I like, I currently have 3 different types (Japanese, Chinese, old nordic English) and I'm gonna have one more with my next story. Honestly, I don't see why people would insist on having changes on names? I wouldn't do it, because - just like you - my babies have their...

    History has been made!

No it was actually a friend :D Someone joined freely Anyway I think history actually has some pretty fun stuff, like the great Emu war (where Australia lost against Emus) or a time where three people declared themselves the pope

    History has been made!

I wouldn't say that. Example: Liechtenstein’s Army Returned Home From War With More Men Than it Left With (Actual thing that happened)

    Do you have an editor?

I regret not having one for judging pacing, plothholes etc. I've asked a friend to help me out with future stories on that As for spelling stuff, I use Grammarly as other people here too :'D

I'm curious, how did you get so much exposure?

I think everyone here already named the most important points on getting exposure. I did pretty much no advertisement for my current series (I mentioned it once or twice as an answer in a forum), so not sure how it got so high up. Maybe regular updates? I personally find it incredibly freaky to...

Author's urge to Post Too Early

As someone with a lot of words now.... It's practice. I couldn't handle writing so much at the start either, but I've gotten used to it and saving them up feels natural now. (I still refresh the page often enough :P) (Edit for those who don't feel like checking; I've got about 500k+ words posted)

How to describe an outfit? (Lesson with Ace_Arriande)

That works great if you have an artist who likes designing clothes, but if you have someone who doesn't like thinking up designs for clothes, you'll have a crying artist.... :blob_paint:

    What's your WPM?

78 in a minute, though I could tell I was slower than usual since I had to read the text instead of writing what I wanted :D

The only problem that can't be solved... Is having no money :blob_teary:

    Adaptation to your Story

Basic VN programming is super easy, all depends on how complicated you want the visuals to be (because the whole branches and flags are.... easy. I'm a code idiot and I can do it without problems.) The harder thing is finding BGs and someone to make you sprites xD

Writing Prompt A malevolent entity gives you a lose/lose choice.

I knew a person whom I randomly disliked so much that the mere sight of him got me into a bad mood. Still not worth it to fall out with all my liked people for one person. That's not even a choice for me, I can deal with ignoring someone who sticks to me as long as I have other people I like around

    What Genre/Concept appeal to you?

I agree whole-heartedly. I love comedy as much as psychological themes if they're well done
