Stuck in a jar of blood instead of a jar of pickle juice, and the pickle is mutated! It formed in the blood which is in the jar which is in the middle of the forest in the moonlight, and every full moon, the pickle monster emerges! MUAHAHAHA

As long as the cliche is not so exaggerated, I’m fine with it. Just that there’s one cliche that I can do without. The ‘overbearing president fell in love with a pure and unpretentious girl’ I really can’t stand those types. Just...uurrrgh.

I think there are some good xuanhuan/xianxia/Wuxia novels, but then, the good ones are all buried under all those cliched stories, like for a female protagonist story...

I don’t like harems, because it feels degrading for multiple people to like this one person like that one person is their world.

I agree with Maromar. It’s probably impossible you’ll be the person who writes the most offensive story out there. Even if you do offend someone, keep writing anyways Wuxia is basically martial arts with an ancient china setting. And the inner powers! And the setting! Like a mystical sect...

I would say the ‘core’ is the martial arts.

Some surnames I know are: Qian, Sun, Li, Zhao, Zhou, Wu, Zheng, Wang, Feng, Chen, Chu, Wei, Jiang, Shen, Han, Yang

You should have the ‘inner energy’, sort of like the cultivation type that you would find in Xuanhuan and Xianxia novels. And Chinese names. And martial arts. That’s a must, in my opinion, for Wuxia novels.
