    Favorite Character Archetypes

I like the deeply mentally and emotionally scarred ones who are still determined to make the most of life and keep trying. Bonus points if they're the type to protect/act as a guardian to others. There's something incomparably touching about a character who's struggling but still sympathises...

Started writing after getting sick of reading

I started as a kid, when my family didn't have the internet but we had an old computer in my bedroom. It was another way of playing. I don't generally write to fill a hole in my reading tastes, but I read less because I fulfill my own tastes and therefore raise my standards...

[Closed - Results Available] The Yuri Garden Writing Competition (2021)

It can be used to buy things from the shop over on NUF. Generally that means icons for your profile or increasing the like limit, but it can also be used to buy Westeller's (a popular mod's) avatar and title for a day, to be changed to anything the purchaser wishes (within good taste and...

[Closed - Results Available] The Yuri Garden Writing Competition (2021)

Your entry should be a oneshot. You can choose to expand it into a longer story after the compeition, if you so choose, but it has to be brand new and stand-alone for the event.

How do girls feel about Harems for guys?

You can have all-for-one situations, though - but it's typically on a smaller scale in real life. Like, you can easily have a closed V-relationship where two people love one person but not each other, and they're not interested in opening up to other people. Admittedly, you probably can't have...

How do girls feel about Harems for guys?

Polyamory doesn't mean that everyone involved is in a relationship with everyone else. I keep seeing this being spread about like it's fact, and it's really wrong? Think about it this way: just because you're dating someone, doesn't mean you share their taste in partners. Maybe your partner...

How do girls feel about Harems for guys?

Then it should be fine, right? The worst part about most harems is that the women's needs, desires and agreement to the situation are completely ignored in favour of making them collectable characters/free ecchi experiences for the harem-having character. I actually enjoy a harem, regardless of...

How do girls feel about Harems for guys?

Just bringing ten people home out of the blue? No, that would be a very dramatic break-up and a story I'd be telling people for the rest of my life. The nerve of the guy! Polyamory, even if it's the "one person with many lovers" type, should always be done with full honesty and the genuine...

    Moonpearl's Commissioned Art Thread

Newly commissioned art by Tiaf here on Scribble Hub~! This is Queen Consort Muirgen and Queen Regnant Zecadus from my short story "Muirgen" (found here). Since the story's available to read here, I can't say too much about these two without spoiling it, but they're a happily married couple who...

I drew this tuff of hair on a concept drawing and I have no idea what it actually is.

Would looking for references that are similar help? It looks like it's less voluminous and hugs the face a little closer than your front-facing drawing shows. In particular, you've made the tuft sit higher than the other half of the fringe on your front drawing when, if you look at the first...

Why so few female-to-male gender benders?

A trans man transitioning is very different to a cis woman presenting as a man through clothes or transformation. Trans men transitioning are actively working towards a state that makes them happier and relieves dysphoria - a woman in a GB would have her presentation be at odds with her...

Aren't there quite a few, like Ni no Kuni?

    A character card for writing

Needs are usually pretty apparent when you take the whole character into perspective. For example... Wants: To impress her mother, to prove she's the best Needs: Someone to tell her she's enough. To realise that her mother will never care for her, give up on her and pursue her own values...

Do you look at the glossary?

I don't bother checking the glossary unless the author says there's something there.

Well, it finally got to me...

Congrats~! I've always wanted to try one of those tails, but I need to learn how to swim normally first. There's a monofin at the bottom that you slide your feet in to swim, and the rest of the tail is pulled up over your legs. Here's someone unboxing and putting one on (putting on at 6:28)...

Why so few female-to-male gender benders?

I've been thinking of writing an FtM GB fanfic for Scribble Hub and, when I mentioned it to my GB-expert friend, she warned me that I'll most likely get flamed for it. Apparently since most fetishisers don't like it and some trans men are offended by it, it gets no support overall, but plenty of...

Do you only post your stories on scribblehub?

Scribble Hub is my main site, but I've started posting on Tapas and Royal Road too - Tapas because someone recommended it, and Royal Road just to see how bad it is from an author's perspective. So far, Scribble Hub is still the best. It's the most user-friendly in every sense of the term.
