What makes you stick with a story from start to finish?

Poor grammar will definitely put off some readers. The occasional slip won't make too much of a problem, but if the story is of consistently poor quality, it makes it more difficult to read and thus less enjoyable to read. So if you don't, proofread. Though I suspect you already do that.

    6. I hope you're keeping track of all these. I expect a statistical analysis of the results when the sample size is large enough.

The laziest thing you do as an author?

I click on one of the two latest topics links on scribblehub and reply on them instead of opening my latest chapter up and writing.

Forgive my nitpick, but shouldn't the first paragraph read: cleric, druid, ranger OR artificer? Otherwise the following deductions don't seem to make sense.

How do you control an overpowered character so they don't break the story?

Make them want to hide their powers for various reasons. Give them a problem that they can't solve with power nor intellect, like a woman's fickle mind and fragile emotional state.

The grave matter that is related to people with left-handedness

I write with my right hand because I was taught to write with my right hand, but I'm left handed in most other things. I find that my right hand is more coordinated than my left hand, but if I need to use my entire arm then my left arm feels more natural to use. So if I play a racket sport I...

    I'm tired of OP heros

I very much like OP characters. The problem is, if you truly want to make a story with an OP character, you can't write it in the same way a traditional action story might take. If the MC is truly OP then your MC never truly fights; he/she only performs one-sided beat downs. If there's an actual...

How can I transmit that I am talking to the reader instead of narrating the story?

I find this to be a confusing question. Narrating a story is talking to the reader. If not, who do you think you are narrating the story to? quotation marks "" or '' are used when a fictional character is speaking. Dashes and parenthesis are a lot rarer in novels. A dash is like a comma, but...

Recommendations Searching for Stories Where OP MCs Stay Undercover (...like To Be a Power in the Shadows/The Eminence in Shadow)

disasterous life of Saiki K. Daily life of the immortal King. Both of them are more SoL rather than action, but still very good comedy in both. edit: saiki K isn't a novel, and DLotIK's novel format has a very wide range of quality to it. It can be boring for 100s of chapters in a row, but I...

Need a bit of help with my cover.

You did that in only two hours? That's cool! What software did you use? As others have said, the subject matter in the picture doesn't give a good depiction of what the story is about. The contrast between the eye for the O and everything else makes me guess this is meant to be a horror story...

How are YOU going to fix the genre you hate or dislike?

Thank you for the logical argument. I see that your opinion is backed by none other than the most ironclad logical principles, with absolutely no emotional involvement whatsoever. Often, whether the MC reciprocates or not is unclear until near the end of the book. So we still have the same...

What makes your fiction worth reading at least once in a lifetime?

It's... at least sometimes funny? That's about all it's got going for it.

How are YOU going to fix the genre you hate or dislike?

As a harem hater, I must strongly disagree. If a story is harem for everything but the last few chapters, in which the MC chooses a single lover, then 99% of that story's chapters are of the harem genre. If 99% of the story is a harem, then the story is a harem. The ending has little relevance...

    Trolley problem. Just that.

I would disagree. It's a problem posed to challenge moral views. Yes, it doesn't ask about how we can save the five. No, it doesn't want to bully you into becoming a murderer. It simply wants an answer. An answer that most people are reluctant to give and will try and sidestep around. It wants...
