Well, the story has got to story so no, Plot Armour isn't inherently bad. It's only bad when it's used in such a way that just doesn't make sense with the rest of the story. The Indiana Jones movies are riddled with the good and bad plot armour. Crystal Skull for example. The good plot armour...
