Oh, hey! Now I remember why I used the double-dash in my writing. So, I used to write a lot on Google Docs so that my editor and others could watch me write. If you do the "--" in there, it automatically transforms it into an emdash.

I ain't an author; I'm a writer. Me having fanfictions under my name doesn't make me their creator, just someone who wrote more onto somebody else's original work.

Honestly, before 2018, I didn't know em dashes existed. Instead, I used two dashes mooshed together like this -- and my editor -- in my novels.
