Does writing your story make you feel better or worse?

Both. The time spent writing could be used to do other stuff, but it is a needed outlet as well. And I often have mixed feelings about what I write (and frustration that I just can't keep up the needed pace). But it is still, overall, a positive thing.

One Universe with Multi-Series, Which Meets in the Main Conflict of the Main Series?

Um... Strange Awakening was heading this way when I got pulled away from it by real life (including Pocket FM commitments). Was just getting the story out into space - but Kelly was also going to be stuck bouncing around the Multiverse due to an experimental weapon (and a villain believing her...

What makes you stick with a story from start to finish?

Quite often stubbornness: if I paid for it, I'm going to try to get through it (so far only failed me on E. R. Eddings The Worm Ouroboros). For free ones, I have to like either the characters or the writing enough to overlook (and usually comment on) technical issues.

    January 1st Release?

I would suggest doing what marketing execs have for years - rather than an arbitrary date, pick a day of the week and release on, say, the first Tuesday in January, regardless of the actual date.

How many covers has your book had?

HAD made? Well, it took four passes (with, IIRC, 12 total candidate images) to get one both Pocket FM and I liked for Between Earth and Pyrroth. Took two and six candidates for Digital Cowboy Dane. But that was because they insist on using their own artwork.

    You suddenly find yourself...

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack And you may find yourself in another part of the world And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife And you may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get here?"

Do You read a chapter a day, or do you like a 'page turner' and prefer a completed story?

I read about two or three chapters a week, sometimes individually, sometimes in one sitting.

    You suddenly find yourself...

If this is limited to stories actually READ... 50/50 chance that it was 1. Cameron to Candy or 2. I Blinked and Now I'm Famous over the weekend (don't remember which I read last, probably Blinked) or the 3. GrrlPower webstrip on Monday. If this includes ANY story actually read, then it would be...

Is having a Lazy MC great?

Just stumbled on a story on PocketFM where the MC claims to be lazy. He actually did replace a lazy version of himself - Ethan Clark was a scam artist in his first life. In another world, he was the son of two moderately successful ghostbusters; when his parents died, he tried to take over the...

Tragedy slop and Isekai slop are created equal

So you're saying AMC Amber Heard-ed the franchise? From what I managed to see of S2 (liked S1 until they got to the CDC. Never really "felt" it much and got bored in S2), that's about right. I mean. there's a fine line between boring tedium and tense suspense, and to borrow a line from Sam...

Writing How to avoid plot armor?

You're asking the wrong question - the trick is NOT to avoid "plot armor" but to try to find ways to make the plot armor as inobvious as possible. If the reader sees it, they may lose interest (though it often takes a while - a lot of people burn out on Batman after a year or so of reading...
