    Villian Protagonist

The only "villain" (by his own admission - he's a greedy coward motivated more by sex and money than anything else) character I've enjoyed reading as a main character (there are a LOT of villains I really like as ... well ... villains or, occasionally support characters that the "good guys" have...

    My First WN...

Avalon (Isle of Apples) is where the dying Arthur was taken to recover and await his time of return. It is kind of another realm (Earth, Otherworld and the home of the Tuatha de Danaan, the "gods" of the Celtic mythos - but also modified due to that upstart religion Christianity. Exactly...

What's your biggest strength as a writer?

Yeah, I see it more like comic book panels or a story board (though sometimes with the scenes "animated") than a movie or something.

why is one volume not in the rankings, and the other volume is?

Ah - what is the title? People probably can find the second one easily (so it gets a ranking) but not the first one because they have to go to your profile or find a direct link (so it gets barely any hits that count). Might have to go into the "bug" forum at the top and mention your older...

What would the fandom of a novel you wrote be called?

Do streamers make up the options themselves, or see groups of fans using certain terms and decide to enlist their help to make one official? (Personally, I suspect a mix - that they had a few ideas, and see some fan ideas, at least one of which they like and another they really hate, and create...

What would the fandom of a novel you wrote be called?

Yep - just like "ships" fans decide the name not the writer or anyone else.

How do you view your characters in your fiction?

Alternate versions of myself from parallel dimensions who want their stories told.

why is one volume not in the rankings, and the other volume is?

Did you post both at the same time? Did both have the same tag applied when posted? And I think the "simple" display only shows your top two rankings - so Strange Awakening is 17 in Delusions, 122 in superheroes, Click on Show All Rankings and I get (for a long time it only showed the first...

I just realized I’ve been writing my characters name wrong…

China, Japan, the Koreas, Vietnam - Family is more important so comes before the individual. Most of the rest of the world: The person comes first and family is just a tag to differentiate one John from another, so comes last.

What the fuck is happening with monster girl evolution stories on RR??

I think someone did that (with a System) as a joke some time last year.

I just realized I’ve been writing my characters name wrong…

Do some research, If the reversed version is a valid name, run with it. If not, either decide it IS for your world, or go back and fix.

Writing Handling extremely sensitive subject matter in fiction... how?

We were watching a video about it. He had a slight chuckle at the first time they showed it, realized nobody else was laughing and looked guilty, Stared blankly the second time they showed it, and glanced nervously around the room, but then just lost it the third time (which was a bit much =...

Writing Handling extremely sensitive subject matter in fiction... how?

If it was kind of a bitter, resigned laugh, then it means I got Joshua's "voice" right (he's very dry and sarcastic - pretty much doesn't expect people to get the joke until after he's left, partly as a survival trait). If it was a deep belly laugh, like my little brother gave when he saw video...

Writing [Sharing] How does a character introduction impress readers?

What about Scene 3: Nervously, the boy in dark robes stood straight, holding his wand out in front of him. The faintly glowing tip was reflected in his glasses. His dark pupils dilated, reflecting the silhouettes of a pair of creatures descending from the hill. Seeing their general shapes and...

Is there anyone out there that has written surreal stories/plots?

Note the answer does not say a GRAMMAR mistake. It is a SPELLING mistake. Spelling is separate from grammar (schools still teach spelling, or did the last time I checked, in the 90s; they stopped teaching grammar, except as an advanced elective, in the 70s).

    Labeling chapters with sex

Oh I thought this was about gendering chapters... Chapter 1 is male. Chapter two is ... a bit queer. Chapter three is male again. Chapter four is female...
