Writing How to write a Character that is a poet?

Actually, the definition of poetry is a bit fluid. I've seen "tonal poems" "free verse" "traditional rhymes" and even "ballad structure" poems over the years. Just show the character has a love of words and an artistic tendency and you should be fine.

Does writing novel longer make us lose our ideas and exhausted?

The exhausted part is very real but running out of ideas doesn't happen (or won't for the remainder of my life, which is likely another decade or so). I used to be the regular game master in RPGs so always had to have an idea ready, even if it wasn't my own idea to start with, and that taught me...

Does writing novel longer make us lose our ideas and exhausted?

Not here - but then I had people tell me how hard writing was, how impossible it was to make a living at it (they seem right on that point), etc. And getting involved in role-playing games helped a lot with the "running out of ideas" thing - whenever I don't have one of my own, I steal borrow...

What's the hardest part of being a writer to you, and what common writer woes don't make sense to you?

Finding the time to write when I have the energy and ideas. Unfortunately, the three things tend to come at different times altogether... especially because, once I start writing (or editing even), I tend to get lost in the process, so can't do it when time is critical. A close second is...

Writing How to write a Character that is a poet?

Oh, look for the play "Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmund Rostand (The film adaptations are good but don't really show how to write the character, and the Steve Martin version, Roxanne - while a lot of fun, and true to the spirit of the story, does not really reflect him as anything but a great guy...

    Are isekai fans too impatient?

That's called "AI" and you can find examples of it on Pocket FM... Though if you REALLY want a literary "paint by numbers" find the group (real-world academic group) that is responsible for "Gothic Romance" novels. I had a teacher in college whose wife tried to write one. They sent her a long...

Time machine!!! The first book you wrote

First attempt made it to three chapters before I decided it wasn't worth going further at the time ('81 or '82, so I was about 14). First attempt I finished was a pretty blatant mashup of Lord of the Rings + Dragonlance + generic video game tropes justifiably rejected by the only agent I sent...

    What are SH writers reading?

Ah yes, the "apologies, we're returning Lord Soth to you, Weiss and Hickman" novel... :biggrin_s: P. N. Elrod's Strahd novels were some of the best in that line, those, the origin of Azalin and the "Jekyll and Hyde" novel were, for me, the only true stand-outs.

    patreon word is vanishing

Because people were "cheating" and inserting links in Author's notes or even in the text, sometimes with a word misspelled, but still a link to a payment site (things like using P@treon to hide a patreon link, or k0f1 for kofi to get around "scrubbers" removing the links).

Shocked, he replied: "I had no idea you felt that way about sheep. Let's start a farm together!" She sighed. "You are a moron. I said 'you' not 'ewe'." "You want to plant a yew tree?" "You don't have your hearing aids in, do you?"

In broad strokes the ending is usually in my mind (there have been a few exceptions), but it almost always takes a few turns in different directions and needs a lot of revision before I get there.

    [Quick Q/A]

Even then it might not. I know two teachers (one my own brother) who make use of AI in their lessons, and often encourage their students to use it, but SPARINGLY. One of them even did an interesting experiment with it - he had an AI make a poster for a movie that didn't exist, a film noir...
