Writing a thesis or fiction, which is more difficult?

If we're going to take the easiest example, a thesis could be so much easier than writing fiction, because if the conditions are right you can just pay to win it.

As a writer, I am going to give my reading search routine to other writers

I guess it does cause some problems. But like, I have a lot of things I do besides reading (I love to draw a lot, play games a lot, and I'm still on uni so I need to study a lot too) so I don't really want to try and find the one hidden gem among the thousands of stories, I'll just go and read...

As a writer, I am going to give my reading search routine to other writers

Usually I just go to the trending page and scour for something interesting, I only use the tags on the series finder is when I want to read something specific, or to search stories that's already completed since they won't show up on latest updates anymore.

I'm A New Author Plz Helpp

One thing to not do is advertise your Patreon too much. Putting them on your author's notes on your every chapter is already a bit much for me, since you can just put that Patreon box under your chapter, and advertising it when you reply your reader's comments will make them feel a bit "yo what...

Writing a thesis or fiction, which is more difficult?

Making a good thesis is WAY harder than writing stories, in terms of arduousness. Especially if you're going to be reading other people's works as reference in full, it's going to be quite stressful since people be making them really long with these huge chunks of paragraphs. For creating...

sup gang. just joined today. how many chapters do you all suggest to upload per day?

I would say what's most comfortable to you, but try to keep it consistent. I've heard of authors whose works became bad because they increased the update speed. If you really enjoy writing, you can even upload two chapters per day. To actually answer your answer, at least 2 chapters per week at...

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

Not really, since when I review stuff I want to be able to let the author know what they could fix from their stories. If all I'm gonna do is praise them it ain't gonna work, so that makes me enter find mistakes mode, and yeah not fun

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

Probably yeah The thing is, I've been enjoying stories on SH through ignoring the mistakes the authors make, by either acting as if the mistakes don't exist or justifying it in some way in my head (unless it's too bad). However, by 'objectively' analyzing things, I will be actively bringing up...

What are you most hated novels, why?

Not really. When I read something, if I don't like it I'm just going to forget about it mostly. However, I've listened to a youtuber talk about this book named 'Hunting Caroline' or something and it's probably the worst one I've heard about, the level of gaslighting and torture in that book is...

    Does no one use footnotes?

Well, if the fiction will reference certain cultural things or use uncommon terminology it could use it. For example, white lotus, green lotus, etc.

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

Announcement: For the past few days, I have realized that doing these semi-objective reviews are actually making me enjoy stories less. :blob_pat_sad: I don't know how, maybe because it changed my mindset on reading entirely, but this isn't exactly good news for me. Therefore, I will be stopping...

I see, I usually see them a lot in chinese webnovels to explain stuff that it's meanings can't be grasped by direct translation (Ex: A chinese pun)

Anyone tried text colors? What's the reception?

From my experience reading certain stories with colored text, absolutely not. However, there are special cases where I guess it isn't all that bad, for example one of the stories I read uses blue color for whenever the words spoken are Latin, but it really doesn't add much to it anyways and the...

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

After looking at how much replies this thread is getting, I'm changing the format in which I 'review' you guys' stories. Also, I realized that since I'm only going to review a tiny part of your stories, I will be really focusing on what I don't like, to the point of being nitpicky about it. #5...
