The 2nd one piques my interest. The fact that MC has to shapeshift into the summoned creature and have it use his own body adds a unique spin on things, b/c he'd have to essentially upgrade his body stats in order to perform a summon like that.

Hmmmmmmmm, probably the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters game franchise. Since those games take place in the modern world with the addition of superpowered martial artists, all I gotta do is avoid the big shots and live like a normie.

I think that falls under trademark, which they do own, b/c trademarks protect their expression/presentation of that idea. Ideas themselves can't be copyrighted, but their expression or presentation of that idea is protected under trademark. That's why they can snatch ideas from public domain...

I don't think they could copyright ideas, though.
