    Demi human questions

The "demi" means "partial" The "demi" humans are "partially human". Considering this is a very vague fantasy term, it could have a lot of meanings, and the conventional, i.e. Tolkien inspired (and copyrighted) elves and dwarves could be plausibly called "demi-humans" and in some settings, it...

What tips would you give new authors?

If you are looking for feedback... Try to find a proof-reader. A volunteer proof-reader, a person who does that in his spare time just as you do writing in yours, hopefully fixing a grammatical and stylistic errors in process. They are obviously hard to find, since... well, it requires them...

    Demi human questions

The "demi-humans" are a "fantasy race" ... well, technically, species and not a race, but mileage may vary as they could actually interbreed... ... which could mean everyone is descended from dragons, because dragons are compatible with everyone... Nevermind. Back to the point...

It's not a secret. I came to the "MJ's paradise" to find the broader audience than the smaller, less story-focused sites could offer. It time, I became frustrated with their attitude and constantly tightening rules, then had a disagreement with them, and left.

Ideas you once thought were original but later found out were generic

If you have any objections against any content, the Royal Road could produce not forget to report it to MJ and keep us posted on the reply. It would certainly be unglistening... I mean enlightening, but auto-corrupt had a better idea and I feel it is worth including too.

    Suspension of disbelief: Plothole edition

It reminds me of the video made by some pedantic Youtuber which insisted that the plot holes don't matter by providing the examples of the cuts, scene transition, and generally, events happening off screen. However, after listening (or rather reading) to the Internet discussion on the certain...

The most common starting setting for a young male teenager no older than 16 rising to power.

Most hero journey style stories are often this. Wheel of Time starts with the young farmer boy being revealed to be the Chosen One, even the age of the protagonist roughly matches. Star Wars does this too. Though Luke Skywalker supposedly isn't 16 at the start of the story, you could argue...

Should the prohibited content rules for Scribblehub be ammended to include Illegal Monetization?

He is not an "idea man". He is a bureaucrat. As any other bureaucrats, he is more concerned about the stifling any development to maintain the relevancy of his position. Same as when he argued that the rejection on the Royal Road was about "people don't understand dealing with authority" rather...

Should the prohibited content rules for Scribblehub be ammended to include Illegal Monetization?

He was quite clear in his motivation.... They make money, and he wants that money for himself, even though he is not even the owner of the intellectual property in question.
