I had two, one on Wattpad, one on SH. The one on Wattpad wanted my story to be written in 1st person, so I rewrote it in 1st person and made the reader really angry, b/c her friends thought she had bullied me to into writing it that way. The other person on SH was angry b/c my characters can't...

Yes, for my characters. That way, I can keep details consistent.

I tend to write longer chapters (2.5k to 5k), but in terms of reading, it's 2k to 3k words.

They're trying their best with what they've got, and they've got to work with some crazy stuff to get through to them.

Small number of large books for me, but I'm not too picky on word counts. I am picky on genres, though, so there's that.

I've tried many different kinds: Google Docs, RichTextEdit (RTF), NeoOffice, LibreOffice, Pages, Microsoft Word, but right now I'm using RichTextEdit (RTF), Google Docs, and Pages. I use RichTextEdit for rough-drafting, Google Docs for editing/revising, and Pages to keep track of word count.

When not writing/reading, eating, shitting/pissing, doing errands/chores, etc., I walk around to keep my joint lubricated and in working order.

If there's no improvement in the MC's abilities to resolve the situation (s)he's in, what's the point of the story? There has to be something improving. It can't just be a traumatizing fuck-fest of self pity.
