    You won't get far here as an author if you keep doing everything except writing. Smut is just a genre. Every genres have their audience. Write what you are comfortable with. Most readers only read a story once it's finished or there are enough chapters to binge. There was a thread about this...

    The 15% rule is easy to bypass. Don't reduce the smut. Pad the story with something else like numbers and stat sheets. RR readers have numbers fetish so your story will end up getting more popular if you do that.
