A little problem with the table system.

I can confirm that tables are really rough to edit, they break easily and move around constantly. The best workaround I have come to is to format the table in google spreadsheets and copy-paste it in directly.

Resolved Wrong date labels on author stats

Thanks, not sure how that happened. Was supposed to be an image of the bug, I think may have put in a hyperlink instead.

Resolved Wrong date labels on author stats

Happens in the yearly author series stats, 2021 shows up as 2022. Not the biggest bug ever but just giving a heads up.

Is there anything you have regretted writing?

I somewhat regret having written smut, and I certainly enjoy writing it less than regular fantasy.

    Writing Hooking the Reader

It's hard to place my finger on it but this feels more like an excerpt from chapter two rather than the lead-in. I think the biggest issue is the lack of information about the main character and what information there is gets introduced in a somewhat awkward to read manner.

Why do Most Readers Not Comment?

I think you're on to something here, every time I've held a poll I saw a surge in comments. I think readers probably like being polled a lot.

Why do Most Readers Not Comment?

All authors wonder this, I have no idea why either. I wish I had readers who commented more.

    Writing Can't think of anything

There's not really a secret for it, most writings are spontaneous in nature. You create, then revise what you don't like. Most ideas though are built off of other ideas. What do you read on a regular basis? All those novels are essentially the setting parameters for your story. Think of the...

    Content guidelines/sexual content

The way that I've read the 'encouragement' clause of the terms is that for most of those topics you need to be actually encouraging the reader to do that act for it to apply, i.e. incitement of an act, which makes sense to ban because incitement to commit a crime is usually illegal in any...

To readers who don’t like NTR

I am familiar enough with Japanese tropes that I can't really remember the actual time that I've first heard about it. I don't think it should be unexpected that people hate it, it's essentially a humiliation and cuckolding fetish, and just as anybody in real life would be looked down on for...

What Do People Look For In A First Chapter?

Exposition. Readers want to know who the main character is and what to expect, they also want to know what kind of world you have prepared for them.

How many chapters do you expect per week for ongoing novel?

Most people only follow if it is daily, otherwise people mass read it.

    Give me your opinion

I mean it in a pretty general sense, but the issue exists in all of the chapters that I looked at. For simplicity's sake I'll just use chapter 1 as an example. For the entire story we are missing the 'who', 'what', and 'where' of everything. 1. Who. We don't know who the characters are. In...

    Give me your opinion

I think the story needs to be more descriptive. It isn't clear what is going on in the story, so I think there needs to be more on who the characters are, what they look like, what they are doing in each scene, and overall setting descriptions. Every time a scene changes, it would be good to...

Resolved Table usage breaks reader webpage

Tables have been a big issue before, especially the more you edit them the stranger their behavior becomes. I would suggest just copy-pasting your tables in from a google spreadsheet. It has a decent formatting that gets preserved and it doesn't get all weird on you.

Give me that sweet sweet feedback! Why don’t you give feedback? :(

I'll just give a quick feedback, here. I read through the prologue and one of the biggest things that I think would help is having more character and setting descriptions, and less of the conversations. Having heavy conversation is not bad per-say, but the conversation does not appear to be...

    Which Names Seems Better?

Neither really gives me any idea about what the novel is. Which is fine I suppose, because other novels have weird names too. The first one is better though, because 'innovatus mutabilis' is too close to actual words in English which makes the name sound like gibberish rather than latin/roman.

How Many Words Do You Guys Average Per Chapter

1.2k average. About 4 hours to write, 30 minutes to 1 hour to edit and rewrite.

    Lifespan

I should add that beastmen are probably the least defined of any genre you list. They aren't popular at all in western fiction, I can't think of a single non-video game based fantasy book that has them as we would probably think of them today, especially not anything from beyond 20 years ago...

    Lifespan

The widest consensus is probably going to be something like this. Demons and Angels: immortal Fairies, dragons, elves: long-lived to nearly immortal Dwarves: significantly longer than humans Beastmen: human or shorter But obviously they can be anything you like.
