I asked myself why I stopped reading manhwa webtoon.
And then I read one earlier and just... stop.
I am sick of the contests between:
1. talented but born poor vs nepotism
2. born into and is noble vs communistic pigs
For both cases, the protags are always the talented and noble one (the underlined) while their competition is fantastically inept.
Then when both the underlined members meet, they always never bite each other's face off because "goodness"
Kind of retarded for me, but when I got introed another KR "MC turned villainous" story, all I can think of is
"Yup, totally expected."
I mean, the whole "your lifework getting stolen by bastards above and wife getting raped and then committed suicide" is par for the course and can be set in medieval, low or high fantasy, and modern day drama.
It is at this moment when I look at the small fries in Bleach, Naruto and One Piece and noticed how genuinely broken they can be.
