I mean, I was raised on internet and I am kinda glad considering how toxic my family is. You are correct shoving a phone is the laziest thing a parent can do, but most parents I see are too tired after their jobs to spend time with child anyways.

Then don't have kids if you don't have time for them or someone to take care of them. Wait for a better moment or just accept that you are in no position to have kids. It's better than forcing someone to this world to live a shitty life and with a feeling that parents never loved them.
