No, I have another full time job. I simply sink almost all my spare time into writing to try and make it work before I get downsized.

I have revenues from writing totaling a six dollar check I never cashed years ago.

My only payment is reader attention, which is very sparse.

If you just want a hobby to be lucrative, then you should do what you think is best.
But man, you should just make your hobby be something you enjoy, not another job.

When hobby becomes another job, it will suck a lot.

Even if I don't make money, I want my work to get attention. The attention economy is brutal and I don't measure up.
Granted I got more attention than I originally expected, thus I've lasted three years.
But now I'm stagnating and effort isn't equaling results.

The only reason I want revenue is to be able to write full time, but I don't think I'm good enough to reach that point.

Take a vacation from it and see if you want to come back.

@Madkins your stories have fairly interesting titles, covers, and premises but your synopsis style is a turn off.
I've seen really good work get nothing.
I've seen formulaic AI churn get lots.
I added your stories to my reading list.
