Yeah bro, i know.
I lost my last job (Not writing) Last September.
Want to guess who i lost it to?
AI.
No replacement, no notice, just 6 years and poof.
I get it.
It will replace everything as far as i can see, except physical labor.
But hell, seeing the AI cadence in so many stories, many of which get popular, is deflating. Especially seeing the quickly generted perfectly clean syntax when I struggle for hours to remove repitition and poor word choice.
Well, I gotta earn a living somehow if I want to feasibly continue writing at even my current pace. I'm sinking too many hours into a dead hobby that is leaving me broke, ridiculed, and isolated when I could pursue more lucrative options.
To me, AI is a tool to use and many has already learn how to abuse it.
This really reminded me of a CN cyberpunk where the MC mocked when AI replaced human writers and then got replaced by synthezoids because the cycle of life.
1. I can continue as I am, pounding my head into a brick wall.
2. I can quit writing to pursue an actual life.
3. I can bend to the tech gods and become a cyborg writer.
I gave it three years, but it just hasn't worked out.
No decisions yet, just things I need to consider.
It's everything anymore, not just writing.
