A brief reaction and/or reply is the bare minimum of etiquette to humanize fellow writers. Is this a heavy ask? :blob_teary:

They want fluffers, not actual critiques.

Which just sucks.

Personally, if a person make a thread, in the first 2 months the op should endeavor to react or replying to every reply, unless its obviously talking to someone else and is a segue.

That’s why one shouldn’t bother giving feedback on heavily AI edited stories. They refuse to write their own work. It’s not much of a stretch to assume they’re not here for constructive feedback, but for readers.

That's why it's always good to prepare in advance for negativity.

I do so by making my reviews goofy and memey for myself to enjoy typing out, while still being very fair in providing constructive cricitism. Hand out all the Your Did It stars!

I realized long ago that 95% of people asking for feedback only want someone to read. You have to change the reason you are doing feedback. If you are doing it for fun or for yourself, their response doesn't really matter. It's still rude of them to ask for feedback and not respond, but oh well. The ones that really want feedback always DM anyway.

I hope this post isn't directed at my thread... :blob_hide: If it is, I need to clarify that when you replied, it was late at night where I am and I was asleep. I've just replied to you in that thread.

Anyway. I just joined this forum and holy hell, this place is really alive. Alive Internet Theory confirmed.

Edit: I just realized that I wasn't using the "reply" or "quote" functions directly, but instead was copying and pasting the text manually into the quote field (so people wouldn't receive notifications, right?). How dumb of me. :sweating_profusely:

+1
(That is why i mentioned my preference of getting reacts and sadness of not getting it)

Because no react, in my dictionary, is like "ignoring" or "disliking".
And a thumbs is less of a "hey i agree" but more of a "i read it" stamp.

Also lets be honest, any sane (and normal brain) person, DOESNT need "feedback".

Because like videogames, YOU know if something sucks or not. No matter if you are the one doing it or not.
WE ARE NOT in anime, where if you sing badly+hear recording : hey its pretty good !

If you can't, or need feedback, that means there is something wrong in your brain.
OR
LAZY AS F
to compare it to the MILLIONS books on internet

If someone need a critique.

That means, they are dumb or problematic brain or lazy or SKEWED VIEWS and cant understand what makes stuff popular
or they are childishly naive, like a new painter, but that means, there is a 50-50 chance they do tanthrum like a child

(i had a drama like that with an author, and 2nd drama with old user giving me a long DM saying i needed clinical help, when all i wanted : "sorry" )

To be honest, its like videogames crafting.

Because for info.
And i wonder if i am the only one thinking this.
But.
What is stupefying, is that, game companies flop, when they could easily pay 5$ a dude in road to try their games before launch OR ask their family to test it.

But nope.

Hence : "Are you retarded? Cant you see its shit?"
