I don't care. I just need to understand the basics of cultivation if I'm going to write my own. I don't need it to be deep. it can be trash. Just something. I mean I am reading a Regressor's Tale of Cultivation

Then I especially recommend them. They are 100% classic with all the common elements and tropes in place.
I wouldn't use trash cultivation novels as examples... that will probably ruin your story. Er Gen's novels are the ultimate classics, so they are a textbook example of a hugely popular story that defined the genre.

Personally like Er Gen stuff... but i kinda tapped out after 3 or 4 novels... it got a bit... oh this again.
