You forgot one: romantic relationship. :)

In general, I prefer reading about relationships that are between equals, at least roughly. One may be more of a leader, and the other more of a follower, but that should trend more toward "You have good plans and I support your goals, so I will follow", rather than a strict leader-subordinate relationship, i.e. it is something that might readily change if that opinion changes.

I personally write a lot of mother figures, ones that are strong, ones that wanted to repent because of their sins to their child and all that, so I picked the first one

I like girls dating femboys.

Of the above, I suppose that falls under sisterhood, childhood friend, or friendship. You're kinda making the story where there's one and half girls just being friendly, and it becomes something more.

I think they are all good, it all depends on how the story is told and how their relationship develops. (Without obscene things, of course :blob_sweat:)

I was going to say "Where is the "Friends ... with benefits" option but this is better... :D

And to answer the actual question: "Any relationship that helps move the story forward, rather than stopping it cold, is a good one, regardless of gender(s), number of characters, type of relationship(s), etc."

That can be the weird frenemy relationship between Eiko and Beko (A-ko and B-Ko in Project A-Ko) [as an aside, that type is not really covered either - the ambiguous rivalry for Seiko/C-Ko's affection - at times it seems romantic, other times straight up friends, other times almost possessive], outright romance, real sisters, sisters at heart, boss and employee, etc. All of them.
