The idea, cuz I ripped out many of my failed works that died in embryonic, is pre-pre-pre-alpha. And I got it from Daoist Gu's Fang Yuan, except the whole MC and his family getting tortured thing is already in my dead baby work. So yes, he will no compromise his morals and suffer way way way too much.

I will probably let this idea die as well. Seeing how I am not into the idea of gorn now... dammit I am having my man-o-pause.

So basically I have taken in a lot of Reki Kawahara's BS and put rape as one of the great evils, I have women getting raped, I have guys getting raped, I have genital mutilation which involves blunt shears, hot tongs and pliers. I have disfigurement, I am attempting on the effects of slavery which results in kinslaying and cannibalism, I have dismemberment and disembowelment, fingores and cutting big toes off one by one, I have eyes getting pierced, I have nerves getting pulled out and I am reconsidering going back to Worm to see the fantastic torturing methods.

Well... my MC has a secret, he has high regenerative capability, something his captors know and willing to use in order to discover his secret. Which they will and execute him and his family with the worst crime possible. The worst part? Most of the time MC over here can get revenge, in this case, my MC can't, even as he gets resurrected, he is still alot weaker than them. And yes, they know he lives and will continue to make his life a living nightmare.

Most probably the shittiest idea to have the moral of the story being "there is no such thing as justice."

Also, just found out that Daoist Gu was indeed banned by govt and author fell into depression.

Ps. What is SH's policy on stories that dicate evil triumphs over good and all good people will die a horrible death or suffer a fate worse?

Torture the male lead from when he's still a little kid physically and mentally.

Basically by the typical "if you keep your promise we will grant you the facility for your treasured someone".

Kill his whole family, took him and his younger sibling under your "care", say that he is your son and heir on the outside. Force him to climb the ranks on his own, by training him in inhumane ways. Make him kill a person by force if he wants his "treasured" someone to be safe. This is a kid I'm talking about.

Brainwash him by telling the kid that the more he takes cuts and bruises, the more durable his body will be. Get a hitman to be his mentor, by means, everytime he would be trained by that person... He has to survive the numerous close calls... In addition by suppressing his freedom of emotions... and making him your puppet that can't deny your commands

And there you have it, an emotionally scarred ML everyone
