Dear Multiple Title Authors, how to switch brain mode?

Before, when I was only working on one title, I can produce 2 or maybe 3 chapters/day (when there's no distraction)

Now, when I work on two title, I can only produce 1 chapter/day.

Most of the time are wasted because my brain mode still locked on the other story, not the one I intended to write.

So far, I find that re-reading the previous chapters of the story i wanted to write helps. But, its still not switching it fast enough apparently.

What about you guys? What did you do?

I write the story that demands the most attention at the moment. Sometimes that means I abandon one for a week or more. Sometimes it means (meant, at least, back when I wasn't working regularly) that I would churn out three full and one or two partial chapters between four stories.

I guess i was doing it wrong trying to write two different story on the same day :blob_pat_sad:

Maybe - or maybe not. Whatever worked for me may not work for you.
But one reason to write multiple stories is because you WILL hit those points where one story just wants to sit there for a while and stew before you can continue it. Instead of complaining about Writer's Block, you just set it aside and work on the other.

Also many of the things I'm posting are edits of things I wrote from old manuscripts I wrote a naive teenager to twenty something.

I think it's best to end one story, then focus on the other. Trying to multitask might impact the story in a way of interchanging plot lines.

Problem is, both stories already launched and i dont have enough backlogs for both. Now i'm being chased by deadline (release schedule) from both novels :blob_blank:

I also got one particular story (the original 2nd novel if based on the time its released), I deleted it from sites and try to rework on it again later since it doesnt made the tractions that i was aiming for.

Nope, nuh-uh.

You bit off a little more than you can chew.
If you are using a chapter-by-chapter release, lower the frequency for updates on both and update your profile to match said announcement.

Mmmhh.. you're actually right...
I was thinking about changing from 4/week to 2/week for the first novel.
The second novel, cannot. Its riding a good wave now and I cant risk killing the momentum
