What do I need to do to draw in readers?

I’ve been noticing it for a couple of weeks, and nearing the end of my second novella, I’m not getting the views like my first book did. Recent stories are being posted, and 9 chapters in, they have over 2k views, 4 ratings, and countless favorites. How do increase my numbers?

Genre. Genre. Genre. What you write is everything. If you have got popular genres, whatever you are writing will sell like sliced bread. If not, then it will be a tad harder. Do not expect instant gratification.

Delete your second book and keep posting under your first story if its a continuation. Starting new works sacrifices most of the progress your first made. My story has 3 books so far, but they're all under the same banner.

This. Starting a new book forces people who like your work to find it again. That's how you lose readers.

I might actually do that. The first one had plenty of attention

I’m guessing sci-fi and romance isn’t popular?

Sci fi and romance are super popular, your numbers on your first book weren't bad, do what I said with merging them, stay consistent, and I think you'll do fine.
