i'm just trying to envision 'hardboiled romance'.
my first inclination is the fusion of hardboil detective fiction, with a generous blend of a traditional romance
or I guess the romance itself could be 'hardboiled'. I'm just not sure what that would mean.
is either of these what you meant, OP? I admit to curiosity.

To be honest, I am a novice writer and this is my first project. I don't have a deep knowledge of genre classifications. I’ve already completed 14 chapters of Part 1 in Korean, and the 'Hardboiled Romance' label was actually suggested by the AI during the English translation process. Since you seem much more knowledgeable about these genres than I am, perhaps you’ll find the answer yourself once you’ve read through my work. I'd be curious to hear your professional verdict.

well, I'm no professional either. it would be the blind leading the blind then.
I just never heard the term used like that before.
I figured since you were the one using the term, you could explain it.
no big deal.
