Because it might be triggering for some
Anyone who's going to be triggered by characters dying aren't going to be reading litrpgs. And even if they are, screw them. It's not your responsibility to spoil your own story because they're dumb enough to read books they should know they can't handle.

Also, I never said who's gonna die. If people do die in stories that's just collateral damage not a spoiler, right?

There's a difference between knowing that characters will die and knowing when they will die. Even if I don't know exactly who's going to die, I'm still going into that chapter knowing it's going to happen, which destroys half the suspense and surprise right off the bat.

If you want to put content warnings on your story (WARNING: CONTAINS GRAPHIC VIOLENCE, LANGUAGE, SEXUAL THEMES) then that's understandable. If anyone can't handle those things, that will serve as enough of a warning for them not to read it. But outright spoiling the story is never a good thing. Imagine if movie trailers did that. "Rated PG13 for violence, language, and suggestive themes. Also, someone gets their head cut off at the one hour and twenty three minutes mark and the bad guy falls off a cliff at the end."

That's more detailed, but I get it.
