I was interested until I read solo leveling. My undying hatred for that garbage hardcarried by a GOAT artist cannot be described with words. I'll still check it out tho.
Huh, suprisingly decent.

The only thing about SL is that I watched the anime and that's where the inspiration for this novel came from.

Have you read it?

Pace is a bit too fast for my taste, the power system isn't well explained and the MC pulls abilities out of his ass without buildup(suddenly revealing hat he can make weapons and that he already made some earlier). It was fun reading it tho.

The pace isn't fast, it's slow, but everything happens within a month, and no specific date is set because that makes it easier to delay without pushing the timeline forward—something like *Toaru Index*, where an arc takes a week at most. The power system consists of unlockable skills, but we only see the MC explaining it, so the other characters will give their own versions since they're more professional than him. The MC's skills don't come out of nowhere; it was mentioned as a possibility that they emerge when he faces a strong opponent, so they have their own mystery, and this isn't revealed at the beginning, ever. The thing about the weapons was my mistake; in Vol. 2, I'll add what I forgot to mention here.
