Greetings to all the authors and readers of this page.

A great inspiration for this novel is, without a doubt, Solo Leveling (I’m really enjoying it, by the way).

I said it would be an otome game, but the novel I’m using as source material for the twins’ arc (who appear at the beginning) hasn’t shown any signs of life. I need to read it to finish their backstory, so I’ll put it on hold for now and focus on a completely original novel.

Do you know the urban fantasy genre?

It’s something like animes such as Toaru Majutsu no Index or Strike the Blood, which are set in modern society but involve paranormal or fantasy events.

Well, I’ll do something like that—but with dungeons.

That’s right, I’m finally diving into the most overused and exploited genre of all.

But I won’t do it the usual way—I’ll do it my way.

I already have the entire first volume in my head; I just need to finalize the members of the harem.

Yes, you read that right—despite being set in modern times, there will be a harem.

Fandom: “But author, how can you include a harem in today’s world when only rich people can afford it?”
Author: “Shut up! It’s my story, my decisions. I don’t care about logic—I’ll do what I like.”

As a spoiler, some members of the harem will include:

  • A mother in debt to the yakuza.
  • Her rebellious, bratty daughter.
  • A nurse who works as a healer.
  • A European princess.
  • A Gal streamer/YouTuber/influencer.
  • A model of the sexy onee-san type.
  • A singer (reference to Astra Yao).
  • An actress (reference to Oshi no Ko).
  • A sexy doctor from India (a Code Geass reference).
  • A sexy assassin from China.
  • An S-rank adventurer (no, don’t think of Danmachi—while developing her backstory, Aiz came to mind, but she’s completely different).
  • And more.
To wrap things up, I’ll use AI-generated images to showcase the characters’ appearances. I’m tired of searching for existing characters that resemble them.

I hope you’ll read this novel, as it will also be part of the Heroeverse, but within its own category and lore.

The provisional title for the novel is Dungeon Herrscher. The name may change, but I haven’t decided yet. When I do, I’ll announce it. I’m also considering releasing it in Japanese, though I don’t know where or how yet.

And now, to finish: Stay tuned for Dungeon Herrscher!

If you have any suggestions or ideas about "skills," "jobs," or "dungeon lore," I'd love to hear them to use as material.
I also want to upload it in Japanese—does anyone know a site other than 'Shosetsu' to post it?

Wait... Vol.1 and 11 Harem member???
Obviously not, Volume 1 is about introducing the characters, their world, the abilities the MC possesses, and establishing his name in the world. The harem begins when he arrives at the adventurer's academy, which would be Volume 2.
SL only gave me the idea, and I don’t really plan to take anything from it as a reference. What will actually serve as my reference is the *Shin Megami Tensei* series and the Osaka arc from *Gantz* (how I love that arc).

Why would you mention SL then? :blob_frown:

Because someone might say that it's a plagiarism or fanfic from SL, and I mention it because it just gave me the idea, I don't want it to be called SL 2 or anything like that when my work has its own story.

No. I don’t mean the gates, another stuff, a certain “title” MC will obtain. People can compare to SL for the title MC obtain for cleaning a dangerous dungeon.
You read the post? Well the name is that.

Maybe I'm blind, but I can't see anything about "title". This is not sarcasm btw. I read it for the third time just now, I can't see it.

Let me be clear, terms like: Dungeon, awakener, hunter, Hunter association and similar predate Solo Leveling and have their origin in D&D. It's already been ruled in court, though I can't remember the case, that the mechanics are fair game, and they themselves grew out of Childhood playground games. We have dozens of works in a similar vein. You good

Ok Interesting pretty, you can have some Dungeions be connected by Multiple Core Rock Crystals and have Some smaller ones that provide resourses, also it can be a Friendly Not Love Harem~.

  • Court? Was Solo Leveling taken to court?
  • All good, then. There’s no problem if they call my novel a fanfic since it’s a widely used genre.
Herrscher?
Yes, Herrscher is a German word that translates to "King" for us, but here it will be given the synonym "Monarch."

I'll give you a small spoiler.

The title of Herrscher is what the dungeon grants to those who complete it. The first ones to complete the dungeon were the Germans, as governments used to rely on adventurers to extract resources. However, the Germans were the first to complete it by accident. That was when the title first appeared, and the Germans gave it that name. But in reality, the title belongs to the dungeon itself, and the Germans merely took advantage of the coincidence that the word shares the same name in their language.

Well, there are two types of dungeons. Some appear in places like parks or open land, where a tower-like structure emerges on the surface, consisting of multiple floors. The other type is portal dungeons, which transport you to another world, so to speak.

Dungeons provide resources in the form of magic stones, which eventually replaced traditional fuel as we know it. These stones are also used for jewelry, vehicle repairs, and military weaponry, although they don’t have any special effects that enhance functionality.

Monsters also drop meat that can be sold, creating a new global market centered around dungeons. At the very least, no one can monopolize it, as it's impossible for anyone who isn’t an adventurer to survive inside them.

Of course, there will be romantic moments—it's a harem, after all—but it’s not one of those generic haremshit stories we’re used to seeing.

How is it connected to SL, and why would people think you plagiarised something based on one word? :blob_frown:

My guess is because in SL, there's also a term for some group or something (don't remember much because it has been years since I dropped it), called Monarch. So yeah, word association.

Which is a strange fear because the word Monarch (군주) is already used in Korean WN titles before SL and I don't believe SL has the copyright to that word.

Even the idea of modern dungeon delving is not pioneered by SL... in global or even Korea specifically... so yeah.

Yep. That's why I ask those questions. Why mention SL when a single term doesn't mean anything? It's like saying SAO plagiarised all of Berserk just because Kirito is called black swordsman. It doesn't make any sense. While 'gates theme' is overused, and even OP admits it.
