This is the full uncropped version of this cover acquired from Vecteezy. For context, the story is about a former despot called Ferric who planned to invade all of Pangea (A fictional group of states in this story)
He loses the war and is sent to a different dimension as punishment for his war crimes where he goes through a constant death loop as different people. Ferric then ends up in the body of a conscript from the Pangean side and must now fight in the war that he himself started.
This story is part of the military genre and is also a mix of sci-fi and fantasy.

It's whatever. Just slap title of your webnovel to hide the abomination of a weapon and hands. But vecteezy dealing with AI generated images? That's a new low. They have terribly made vector images that takes hours to disassemble for use, and now if they have images like these in their collection, their value as a "free images" website fallen even more.

That looks like a gloriously masculine vision of war and conquest. I would expect the MC to be able to take a dozen bullet wounds and then still bench press 130kg. Its normally the kind of cover I dismiss out of hand as targeting a demographic I do not participate in.

5/10, generic AI stuff can work. I mean, you have to consider the fact that the image is not exactly the right format, but other than that and your usual AI problems, it's fine. Honestly, I'd search for another image. This seems too generic. For the type of story you're writing, seeing it, I imagine your usual Americanized glorified military story. Still, as it appears to be more of a sci-fi story in a fantasy world, you should probably try to find an image that differentiates it.

Instant turnaway, because AI.

AI pictures can be pretty, but it just has the connotation of low effort, especially when they have obvious faults or poses that hide AI not comfort zone. They always look the same to me.

Honestly, it's good. I have a love-hate relationship with AI. On the one hand it's easy and does a great job at getting your vision. On the other it hurts artists. But let's be honest. Most of us are broke. We gotta work with what we got. The picture is good. But people will 100% hate on it. Either way, the picture doesn't define the story.

AI does a lot better with portraits. I'd say you're better off going with a portrait style image that shows how beaten down the MC is from all the death. Something like a thousand yard stare.

Just remember...you're not a real man unless you can take a grenade blast to the balls and still keep fighting onwards like Rambo.
