The gambling industry does this too, though maybe not as obviously. And, perhaps ironically, perhaps not, one of the more successful video game companies was owned for three years by a company that made slot machines and gambling games, and introduced a lot of features during their run that a lot of gamers did not like.

I'd almost swear your talking about Activision or Treyarch.
