Anyone have experience with this site? It sounds too good to be true. Self-publish that's entirely based on your sales. They claim no upfront costs. Customer buys a book, the store gets 30%, the site gets 10%, and you get 60% (minus printing costs in the case of physical copies).

I'm leery of any site that makes these claims, as they usually have some language that guarentees them more than what they claim upfront.

So... Anyone have experience or heard any rumors regarding them?

As everything involving contracts. You can take your sweet time and just take a whole year reading it thoroughly. The excuse of not having read it never holds up. If you don't like something, negotiate.

I haven't heard of it, but after looking into it I would recommend avoiding it. It seems that they frequently terminate contracts and take the unpaid royalties. Although I haven't read the contract in its entirety, some aspects seem a bit questionable and I recommend reading it yourself.

That was my thought. I like the "we publush it to stores you check off" as a one-stop shop of crossposting.

I don't like the "We take your unpaid royalties the moment you have enough for a payout. So if you don't claim it the MOMENT you are able to, you default it to us."

and I definitely will. It wasn't a real option as, like you, I hadn't heard of it before. I wanted to ask to be 100% certain though.

I personally use the site and it's fine. It's actually just like Amazon, but they keep more of the profits since they're the middleman and take a fee for it. You're still better off publishing via Amazon with KU, though, as most authors get more sales that way. If you're a smut author, you'll run into the same issue with D2D as Amazon.

I am labeled as smut, but as that seems to possess some negative connotations, I usually try to avoid using it. my stories are nearly all plot with sex, rather than entirely sex-centric, like a lot of smut stories.

The only feedback I had was "cautious praise" for what it was trying to do, in a post on another site. I had the site open for about a month, reading bits and pieces of their rules, then accidentally closed it and have not been back. Sounded like a good idea if you have an established following, but kind of pointless if you don't.
