Honestly feels super good to finally get this sort of recognition for my writing. It's only five hundred readers worth of milestone, but I've never had that many people reading my stories before in the ten or so years I've been writing stories online. Pretty chuffed, to be honest. It's been a long time coming.

I see why it took you so long. You're releasing chapters once a week. If you were to make a huge backlog of chapters, have like 100 chapters to post and then post 3–7 times a week. Then you'd have made it there in less than a month. Quantity>Quality on all the free sites for some reason. Still, congratulations on rising and I hope that one day you reach famous.

Not even that many a week; I'm lucky if I post twice in the same month. Quality is always a consideration if you want to be good. Better to be known for quality, not for printing the entire Oxford Dictionary of English every month. If I wanted that, I'd just post the dictionary for however many chapters, and wouldn't that be a waste of time and words. Good stories are crafted with consideration, and when you pump them out like literary diarrhea, you're just creating the written word equivelant of low-tier junk food.

I have no idea who I'm looking at.

pretty sure that ain't James Patterson, I.e. the diaohrea king of published lit.
That's Brandon Sanderson, another famous prolific writer.
I've only read his Mistborn and Stormlight Archives so I can't really comment on his other works, but these two were fun and pretty solid iirc, I'm not sure coz it's been a decade.
I like the plants in stormlight.

Well anyway, Congrats!

Ah. Admittedly I've never actually seen a picture of him, but I do know his works. Big fan of the Steelheart series, and his Skyward Flight books. Also was quite fond of his novels for the Infinity Blade games back in the days before Epic killed the games, leaving a Fortnite cosmetic as the only sign they ever existed. Those stories were pretty great for small interquel novellas for a mobile game trilogy.

Need to get back into reading Stormlight sometime though. Put the first book down a while back and never came back due to getting distracted. Should really remedy that, I was enjoying it.

Also, having just figured out your point regarding my statement on quality over quantity; yeah, Brandon Sanderson can do both. Fuck, he can accidentally set out to write one book and end up writing half a dozen.

There are very few writers like Brandon Sanderson.

I am not ashamed to say I'm not one of them.

It's a very rare thing to be as gifted as Sanderson when it comes to writing.
