Alot of hype for this soullike 6yrs into making and it creating alot of reactions, others calling it GOTY this year, others it will flop etc.
Everything is controversial nowadaysI feel this was posted because it is controversial and some stuff.
Lol atleast it will be slightly more forgiving for those less accustomed to soulslike gameplayWhy does it have to be a fucking souls like though, couldnt it be a normal RPG adventure? It's literally Journey to the West lol
I'm waiting to see the expectations after it comes out and will stall for a week to see what happens, that will make me see i can try itIt looks awesome, but it's not a genre I enjoy. I like the reinterpretation of Journey to the West in a darker tone. I admire that the developers gave a big middle finger to the Western American impositions. Despite this, I'm not interested in the game, I won't buy it, and I won't play it. I hope it meets the expectations of those who are hyped, but generally, Chinese games tend to have poor writing, and the story is mainly what interests me.
Well people have been disappointed so it understandable when a hyped game has doubtsLike with every game nowadays I'm waiting for it to come out and I'll how's the general reception. I stopped being hyped for games. Of course, I'd prefer if it was good, because it's better to have more good games than bad ones.
This is the problem with hyped games, you see the trailer but get disappointed by the gameplay.sadly most become snooze play disappointing fans more and moreA lot of people expect more from this game than it can deliver. I bet it will be an okay game, but nothing special. I alsob bet a lot of people will be dissapointed, because in their head the game was supposed to be an absolute banger.
I am waiting for poison testers first before trying itI like the story of Wukong, so I will give it a try, but souls like are not what I prefer sadly, I would have prefered a rpg.
It's partially fans' fault. I say partially, because using pre-rendered videos, and telling lies is on developers. But judging the game based on those pre-rendered videos and lies, and not based on the actual full game is on fans. Cause it has been the standrad practice for such a long time, but people keep falling into this trap, thinking that they can't lie. To which I can only roll my eyes, because even gameplay is usually faked in these kinds of videos. This is the problem with hyped games, you see the trailer but get disappointed by the gameplay.sadly most become snooze play disappointing fans more and more
You are very right bruhThe controversy around the game is... amusing, mildly said.
It's like murricans screaming "communism bad" whenever a politician even dares to think about public welfare or how climate activists here in Germany cause hour-long traffic jams and force airplanes to stay longer in the air in the name of "saving the climate"...
The people trying to force the game to cater to "modern audiences" and change cultural and mythological facts are the same ones that cry "cultural appropriation" when someone else tries to wear a Native American costume during Halloween...
Sure, the dev is "based", as some people would call it, and mildly concerning in a few of his points, but who isn't?
Am not into soundtrack but i still remember silent hill 2 and bioshock: infinite tracksI'm looking forward to the soundtrack more than the game itself--
Nah, I'm apolitical, neither right nor left. Some of my best friends are from both ends of the spectrum, so they piss me off with their radical stuff in general. Concerning video games and movies, sure, I tend to currently be more right-aligned than I normally am since in these fields left-radicals tend to be the small-minded ones that try to enforce a rigid regime and push away free thought with their agenda. If you ever tried to read those "good practices for game design" or whatever BS they call those currently, you'd also be against those if you're someone who likes character- and story-driven games, since they actively advocate against those in favor of forced diversity for the only sake of diversity and Mary Sue Girlbosses being the very stereotype they try to advocate against, but with a vagina instead...You are very right bruh
