AMERICA MENTIONED.Junior, I can hear the stars and stripes in your post from 10000 li away.
Uncolor your text. Can't fucking read it on dark mode."Profanity is the crutch of the inarticulate motherfucker"
Do you fucking agree or fucking not? If yes, then why you don't use it, if no, then why you fucking use it?
You are thinking only of 'fuck', 'bitch', and 'shit', maybe a seldom 'motherfucker'.I believe in the saying, 'Brevity is the soul of the fucking wit.'
Relying on profanity just seems like a lazy way to add length and personality to dialogue. Unless used purposefully (like for a character who is an 'inarticulate motherfucker'), it just sours the experience for me.
It lessens the impact of every curse word, makes the characters sound like edgy 12-year-olds, and just sounds immature.
Yes, it is very much possible, but most who rely on profanity don't do so. They just add Fuckity Fucks to look cool.It is possible to make cussing wity. It just usually doesn't happen. There is nothing saying profanities have to be unimaginative.
+1As a writer, I don't give a damn, nor do I give a fuck.
If they can't read coz my characters cuss, they can freely drop my work.
Indeed. And for two, I feel using profanities often makes them lose any bite they could have otherwise.
It happens sometimes when the circumstances call, but it is rare.
But I don't agree that they make someone inarticulate. Swearing can be an art by itself.
Bitch ass titty motherfucker sucking on his mother's tits while failing to pull his head out of his own ass got lodged so deep he's neighbors with his colon, absolute goddamn failure of a human much less a person. Goddamned loser so full of shit he's a walking clogged lavatory left of the abandoned clown factory because after they produced the most odious assclown they decided to shut down out of shame for making the most insufferable mistake of human existence.
