Uhh... That's a thing?
And shouldn't you have a concise list of the important things that have happened? I feel that you could make a decision based on that.

You know the middle, don't you? Or the dreaded middle of an arc or a volume. You are 20k words in, and then can't figure out what to write. Would a break to reread what I have so far help?
*looks at my story*
*54k in and only now starts touchy-touchy the middle*

Rereading would be a good way to take note what happened so far. You can write down the key events so far and it should make it easier to see where it could go next.

Isn't that fine? I recall searching for a full-length book length, and it was around 140k words.
I personally think it's a good number to reach the middle of an arc on.

I would hope so. I planned it the way a traditionally published book would be, so I hope that's fine for web release too :blob_hmm_two:

I have notes, but I just don't know what to write next.

Go find inspiration, either by reading some other novel with a similar vibe to your own, or play a competitive game to stimulate the brain, or hug your pillow, drop onto your bed, and dream. :blob_melt:

Do you not re-read what you've wrote to remind yourself what to write next?

Or is it just me?

My brain's operating system is installed on the rams, and if I don't go back to my previous chapters, my story would end up a block of cheese with all the holes being plotholes.
