Here's the scenario:
You have infinite money and time, you HAVE to make a live action adaptation of one of your novels.
Would it be possible? Would it translate well in the big screen?
Who would you cast? Who would direct?
Would it work better as a movie or as a series?

That infinite time and money would be a real clincher. A year ago I would have single handedly saved activision blizzard from being bought out by giving them the amount of money they would need to be given to license an incredibly morally dubious pornographic movie adaptation of a horny isekai harem fanfic.
My second story is also fanfic but seems more palatable to the original creators as it isn’t just porn with excessive plot. I’d make the Warcraft one anyway. Just for the sheer power move.

Infinite money and time? Well I'd make it a series then, because I'd use that to make the series literally just the book, but that would be a long movie. It would be possible, just hard. I'd just hire alot of people to do stuff for me. Actors...eh. I don't have many preferences nowadays. I'd just call random actors and have them audition until I decide .

If I have infinite money and time, I will go with a anime instead of movie or series since it's more adapted to what I write. Choice either a good studio or create one by paying 100k each month the best animator out there (Who care I have infinite money) to make it good (in animation at least, no bs like this berserk animation), also pay some to help me rewrite part of my novel that can be improved.

If I had infinite funds I would much rather have Madhouse or a similarly talented animation company use those unlimited funds to make the best looking and sounding anime version of my story rather than live action.

I mean imagining my work looking as good as Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust or One-Punch Man... ?

Most of my works are more inspired by anime/manga/lightnovels than western media anyway so the anime format and aesthetic would probably work better for most of what I write anyway.

Also technically if you really had unlimited funds you would be able to make just about anything work even in live action simply by spending infinite funds on CGI so that being an option is kind of too much of a cheat.

Most of what I write would actually require ungodly amounts of CGI to work as "live action" and still look like most anime live action adaptations do(like ass) though one of my novels could probably be pulled off with CW levels of budget and production since there isn't that much supernatural to it that would require heavy CGI.

As for what would be my biggest dream would be working with LAIKA Studios though. Love their work.

yeah I think my story would be decent in live action, the monsters could be practical effects and the cubes could be seen in all their jiggly glory
I'd probably prefer a movie but itd have to be a trilogy or something to not skip great swaths of time and events
