I am new to scribble, and I have a erotic novel, but even has lots of sex scenes it is less than 50% of the novel, so I dont want to end in a hentai site and i want it to be read for free. Here is my dillemma, I want to place images into the scenes, I have been doing since I started to write the novel, there are not problem adding them? Which kind of image i have to be aware to.

Prohibited Media

  • Any media containing private parts, breast and buttocks.
  • Any media displaying sexual intercourse or sexual acts.
  • Any media displaying self-harm or suicide.
  • Any images of people posted without their consent. An exception to this would be public figures and celebrities.
  • Any media which captures an illegal act.
Basically, you can't post images of sexual content. You might be able to keep some images if they aren't too suggestive, but it doesn't seem likely based on your post.

Thank you for your information, I was just finishing a chapter with dozen of image with sexual intercourse..... Damn, I guess, if this site that has less restrictions has that, then I dont have another option than make it in to a hentai site, and place it as a ero doujin. DlSite here I come. Well, I can keep publishing here the text only.

There are other sites you could use beside scribblehub. Subscribestar, for example, is very dedicated to "alternative" (read adult) content… The site does not only host debauchery, however, but it is open to it (and therefore people flock). And even content that is for adult-minds is not 99,9% dedicated to smuttiness, but might be spiced with (which going by your description is your case).

I use to not be keen on images because it removes the point of a novel, you want to have enough descriptions so that the fans can visualize what you're writing. Putting up an image takes that away from them.

But I can see the advantage or use of them too. I've been thinking about adding images to the Glossary to help visualize the many different races in my novel so far.

I'd say you can put up suggestive sexy images, but nothing too far. Some skin is nice, but no nudity. Think bikinis or a tight top or short skirts, leggings even.

Women can be sexy with the right pose btw, even with some baggy clothing :blob_evil: we can rock it with the right look. Sometimes a bit of confidence and some sense of fashion is all you need. Never underestimate the effectiveness of skinny jeans, for example!
