Drop it or not?

Drop it on SH.
It is a German story. Not allowed, and I don't want that my English stories get taken down. One must follow the rules. But you are a wise man. Tell me, should I really force myself into writing something that I have written before?

You have much experience writing, surely it's not the first time you came across this problem, nein?

On the one hand, I really want to not drop projects this year, but on the other, writing about the Sabbat in Vampire: The Masquerade is like pulling teeth.
I'll drop it, but I don't know if my next novel is something I'll share. I will write such crack to rival the TV show Plebs!

i think you finished enough stuff to prove that you can. I'd say don't force yourself especially if it's in a language you're still learning. too many challenges at ounce would just make the experience unpleasant

Depends. If you rewrite something to better the quality, than you should force yourself. If you really write the same thing, you should force yourself only if all of the originals and backups were somehow deleted. You should force yourself to translate your own work if you want more visibility. Otherwise no.

I was really excited about my latest project, that is, yesterday I was. I wrote a single chapter, and I thought it was fun. But today, I don't think so anymore. Should I drop it? It has 5k words now, so, what do you suggest?
I might not suggest dropping it, at least not completely. I would say an "indefinite hiatus" like I've seen from a couple other people. This allows you to come back to it if you find it interesting again, but warns people that you may not come back at all.

I would recommend dropping it and consuming the material for your next story. That’s how my story formed. It’s the amalgamation of like 50 story children of mine.

maybe put it up on ao3, there's plenty of stories in languages other than English

Finish it. It may feel like pulling teeth, but you'll be a better writer for it.
