Is a he.

backstory ig?
He was born in a world with 3 brothers. His parents died due to an accident at a very young age so the oldest took the breadwinner of the house.

He has a very loving second brother but his eldest brother gave off a very psychotic vibe.

This is mainly due to a thing called "aura" that reveals the user's emotion more clearly. The eldest, however, cannot feel emotion, because of this, his aura could frighten people due to its eerie nature.

The only reason why the oldest still supports his brothers is because of his sense of "duty" over them.

Even then, he also feels that he is being way too distant from his brother. He tried to solve this by playing chess together and having quality time but whenever they do this, the eldest would always win.

This only worsened his status with them because the mc saw him as a guy who always thought that winning is everything.

Fast forward to the future when he was 10 years old.

His eldest brother went overseas with no explanation. The second brother then took the breadwinner title and works hard for his little brother.

The mc though does not understand why his eldest brother went away thus marking his decision as abandoning them.

Personality:

Fav food: skewers.

He is a very selfish man, always trying to save himself first before others. Even then, whenever he deems that he would gain no loss at helping, he would not hesitate at doing so.

The love of his brother also gave him a realization, he was too spoiled. Bearing this in mind, he tried to go independent by doing side jobs.

Holds great resentment toward people who "betray" him, which is also why his social circle is small.

He is afraid of losing because of the accidental phobia his brother implanted in him whenever they play chess together.

He is also prideful at things he is good at and laid back whenever he encounters something he is bad at.

By some random event, he became a chess player. Normally, he wouldn't do this kind of thing, but this decision corresponds to his goal. To find his brother who coincidentally became a chess master.

Lastly, whenever he is not with somebody he knows, he will be dead silent like an introvert(there are exceptions), but whenever he is with his friend, he will always talk like an extrovert.

What he looked like:

Honestly, still not decided. I'm still planning this character so no appearances yet.

Looks: loli, waist length black hair, crimson eyes, lazy and listless look. Actually around 25 to 30 years old despite looking so young.

Her ultimate goal is to experience her preferred pleasure with the minimal amount of effort required, or at least within her comfort. Used to be traumatized by a stressful past and worrying too much about the future, but she changed and stop giving a fuck. If it happens, it just happens. She no longer wants it to continuously damage her and prefer to look up to the bright side. She was pretty much an introvert who closed herself from the world and just found company with few friends, but when she opened up she can be really weird. Practically how she viewed the world in surreal means and liking to distort everything real in her imagination just to make it amusing.

One of her main pursuits was exploring her dream world and imagination, while also having interest in the supernatural while also relaxing whenever she could. She kinda gave up on trying to become a God just so she could shape reality as she wanted, and simply just live her life until it's up.

What she hated the most was people who tried to control her and disturb her own pace. Though she did quite well on avoiding such people in the first place.

The story's nothing much, mostly a slice of life. Just been drafting the idea and writing them bit by bit.

I think he has a bit too much to his personality. But overall, if he is young I like the personality. If he is old, he is generic and boring.

Looks are boring. This contrast of character being in a small, child-like body, yet having tired, jaded, apathetic look has worked once. When I saw it for the first time. Same for everything else. Even this thread already has something similar in terms of personality\background, and I'm not a fan of this type of character.

He's a "ground dragon" (a humanoid dinosaur) 5 feet tall (1.55 meters) with green skin and large yellow eyes. He used to have plumage in his youth but lost it to the ill working conditions in the tunnels. He's only 7 years old but is fully grown already due to his species' rapid growth and fast metabolism. His life span is around 25 years.

Backstory
Little is known about him in-universe. Rudo himself doesn't know his past. He hatched from some "dragon" eggs sent to a working colony and was promptly put to work. He was treated as a working animal, unlike the human slaves and prisoners he worked with, and thus wasn't "punished" like the rest, being properly and regularly fed although the working conditions weren't pleasant in the slightest. He never knew other life than working in the confines of the tunnels and mines until just recently when the working camp was destroyed in a strange incident, freeing him.

Personality
He's simple, naive, blunt, low in intelligence but quick to learn, and completely lacks in manners. He learned to talk by hearing the human workers talking but never interacted with anyone. His handlers never bothered to give him any education or training, and he only knew to pull heavy stuff. Only after being freed he began to realize his unnatural strength and started to explore a world unknown to him. He didn't have a place to call home or people to call friends until one fateful day when he met a girl called Nina who was in dire need of help. He began experiencing companionship for the first time in his life, having never cared for anything but food before meeting her. He is set to help her through her adventure and see it to the end as he himself doesn't have a goal in life just yet, having grown attached to her very quickly. He knows good, he knows wrong and learned to tell which is which, and after witnessing the worst of mankind, he will do what it takes to help those in need and to exact retribution on those who do evil.

This is about as much as I wanna describe my MC for now, but let's just say his personality and motives are inspired by Sun Wukong. He's also inspired by the Black Panthers' Huey Newton when it comes to his view on authority.

I saw lizardman, I saw dragonewts, but this is the first freaking dinosaurman! I like dinosaurs, so of course I like his design. Her reminds me of Pachycephalosauria. And I like his personality and backstory.

No offence here, but it's somewhat simple, and that's why I like it. I don't like when the character is overly complex, it feels like either half of their traits won't matter at all or won't be used. Or they will become a hodge-podge once you add character development in the picture. Here it's kinda the opposite. A blank canvas. Considering his backstory, it's really good. On a side note, the part with personality has almost no description of personality, and you simply added more backstory. Just a funny thing I noticed.

Appearence is hard to decide. Although this art looks really good and unique, he won't wear this clothes all the time, right? And after looking at the height and weight, he is a generic lean man, and I don't like them to say the least. They are extremelyt generic. Moreover he is JAPANESE, lean man. Usual black hair. He probably will fight, and will be strong, yet he is lean. I am tired of such characters.

As for everything else, I can't comment on this. You haven't said a single thing. Is he smart, is he dumb, is he manipulitive, is he easily manipulated, and so on. No traits, no likes and dislikes, nothing. All I can say based on this is that he is boring to me.

Don't worry, no offense taken. He being simple is exactly what I intended. I'm also tired of overly complex characters. He's simple, curious, and easily influenceable.

Oh yeah, I kind of got carried away hehe. His personality is difficult to explain since he's just that simple. There is a big conspiracy in the story but he doesn't have anything to do with it and just reacts to the events happening around him. He is a wild card in that regard, helping other characters with more complex backstories and motivations.

there's indeed some similarities like one being an isolated person due to past trauma and the other having a weird sense of humor.

His personality...well, he lacked confidence in himself, despite his relative competence. Quick to pessimism in anything about himself, but has enough of a backbone to tell off his controlling uncle. His hobbies are sparring with a friend, horse-riding with his sister, and studying magic, mostly so he doesn't accidentally kill himself and some random.

He's young, tries to be kind, and dreams of living in a nice house where he can spend his days tending to the garden/being a general house-husband. Tends to panic a lot when he's in danger, and he's not afraid to cry or beg if he thinks it can help him get out of a tight spot... or just because something terrible's happened. His favourite thing in the world is delicious food, but he thinks it's best when eaten with friends/people he's close with. He hates violence, and would rather surrender and just give people whatever it is they're trying to get from him than actually have to fight them.

He says he doesn't hold grudges, but he kind of does - it's just he won't do anything about it except make snide remarks now and then, or just silently judge you in his head.

a work in progress chara:

Name: Aisha

Looks: Average height, orangy-red waved hair, slightly tanned due to spending most of her time outside. She has dark brown eyes and while not muscular a well trained and slender figure.

Backstory: Daugther of a dragon rider and former army man who loves his three daugthers dearly, although is very conservative about it and does seldomly show it. Is the oldest of three and the only one who really got to know their dead mother. She is to take over her fathers current position where usually woman aren't allowed, not that he cares since he is sure she will be doing a good job.

Personality: Quiet most of the day, preferring to observe rather then speak, quite friendly once you get her to talk to you though. Stubbron as a mule once she sets her mind to it, sometimes even goes through with things she realized might not have been the best idea just on principle, so she doesn't have to admit it backfired on her.
She also prefers dragons a lot over humans, with few exceptions, and is a brilliant dragon rider, with skill putting almost everyone else, including her father to shame.
