What is with the naked men on the book covers?

So, what is with the naked men on the book covers? I am looking for a BL fantasy novel, but every book has naked men on the cover. One might think they are looking in the wrong bookstore, but both Bucher.de and Hundeldubel are plagued with naked men. They are worse than a porn magazine! I mean, that is what I have heard from a friend.

That's pretty much the current standard of fantasy novels. Blame Twilight for vampire romances that spawned the whole vampire porn genre which then infested fantasy as a whole. And since both women and Gays like seeing naked males, it's pretty much the best cash-grab cover you can have.

Those covers are the reason I don't touch western literature.
