I toggled BL and GL off and now I am missing the number bar in the usual updates.

That's normal if you're using this feature: https://www.scribblehub.com/release-filtering/. It was removed because the extra time it takes to calculate how many pages it exists for whatever filters you set isn't worth it. It's been like that for at least a year though.
