Nothing changes. The hero doesn't suddenly become evil because they are a demon king and the demon king doesn't suddenly become good because they are a hero.

no, how'd the world change. How would the hero-turned-demon-king influence the demons? How would the demon-king-turned-hero influence humans?

The new demon lord saves people like a hero. The new hero kills people like a demon king. The human countries are damaged by the new hero’s rampage. The demon countries become much nicer because of the new demon lord.
The lifespan of a demon is much longer than a human’s. After 70 years pass, the new hero grew old and is weakened, but still strong. However, he wasn’t strong enough to defeat the new demon king and died.
Using this achievement the new demon king manages to convince the human countries to put an end to the war between humans and demons.
They start trading with each other and the demon countries help the human countries rebuild. The new demon king attempts to integrate himself back into human society but is unable to thanks to his physical appearance.
